Eligibility

Lumberjack athletics have a proud history of playing hard, and playing with sportsmanship and character. At Sequoia we offer four quarters of sports starting with:

1st Quarter

• Football for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys
• Girls Volleyball for 7th and 8th grade
• Golf for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys
• Cross Country for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys
• Water Polo for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys

2nd Quarter

• Soccer for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys
• Boys Basketball for 7th and 8th grade
• Wrestling for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys

3rd Quarter

• Girls Basketball for 7th and 8th grade
• Baseball for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys

4th Quarter

• Boys Volleyball for 7th and 8th grade
• Girls Softball for 7th and 8th grade
• Tennis for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys
• Track for 7th and 8th grade, girls and boys

Student Eligibility:

Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher to be eligible to play sports at Sequoia.  If a student falls below 2.0 for one quarter, they are on probation until the next quarter ends.  Students on probation can practice and play.  All student athletes are encouraged every day by their coaches to seek help and make up work as needed.

If a student receives a GPA under 2.0 on two consecutive quarters, they are not allowed to participate in Sequoia Athletics until they get their grades up to 2.0 on a quarter final grade.
